Final Critique
The title of my piece is called,"Fearlessly Black." I originally started with the idea of being black and an artist. However, my idea changed when I came across a bible verse that dealt with fear. Immediately, I knew my path for the project changed. After drawing the partial silhouette of the girl, I did some custom watercolor painting. I also gathered some textures to incorporate in the piece. The part of the project that took the longest was creating the subtle line work that creates a dynamic element for the project. Not only was that the difficult part, but it took me a while to establish my headline. Eventually I chose to go with, "My Black is Fearless." The poster itself is 4 ft by 5ft, so its extremely large. The biggest downfall I had with this piece is its size. Since, it is so large it was very difficult for me to save the file and send it to be printed. Overall, however I feel this poster exemplifies my identity pretty well. I am black. I am fearless. Most importantly I am grounded by my faith.
