Here were my first designs:
I have decided that I want to take a more unique and colorful angle. I am planning on finding a wall that is painted in Chicago. I am going to get a friend to wear a color that blends in with the painting. If that does not work, my next idea is to get random faces and putting a layer digital patterns over their faces. The main motto or focus that would go along with this campaign is "Be Your Design." This campaign would mainly target the student. It is an appealing and eye catching way to make the CDM school stand out.
The ad campaigns that I found inspiring to my future designs are all very different from one another. To go along with the theme of being "a part of the art" or "being a of CDM." The Australian Post has a campaign about sending letters and how they mean so much. they portray this by having the wall that resembles a letter hug someone. In the same theme, artist Liu Bolin has created a reputation for himself to create art that "camouflages" and causes an illusion between a person and a wall they are in front of.
Other inspiring ad campaigns I found were for the College of Creative Studies. This campaign was a spread that is funny and eye catching. It is a mimic of a serious situation created into a parent or teacher talking to a student about art. Here are two examples:
I also really liked the participant ad campaign. This campaign is very inspiring and would stop a lot of people from walking down the street. It would show what the CDM building can do and how successful the students are able to become. This is more of a pop up campaign that would not be able to be "live" or "active" every day.
