Unlike most people, I was unable to pick one job as my worst job. However, I was able to pick my best. During the summer of my freshman year in college, I was fortunate to work as a mural artist through the Garfield Park Conservatory. Located on the westside of Chicago, I worked with a group of fifteen teen in creating a mural over six weeks. There were a lot of aspects to the job as well, as well as, objects that were important to the project.
For this project, I have decided to focus solely on the various mediums that were used in creating the mural as well as the mission behind it. In this project, I focus mainly on the idea of a brick wall. I also focus on the mission which was to provide a piece of artwork that could be a symbol for the women's shelter it supported. From this, I gathered my headline. I thought of "breakthrough."I thought of this becuase the shelter was a source for many women of the community to break through old habit and live a successful live.
The following designs are geometric and deconstructive.

These are great looking. They are one of my favorite series in the class. I'm really excited to see the progress, however, I don't know what's happening in these. I don't remember what you said in class about them.
